News: Quintiq to transform and modernize operations planning for Dutch safety authority NVWA
September 14, 2018 - Quintiq, a Dassault Systèmes company and global leader in supply chain planning and optimization (SCP&O), has been selected by Nederlandse Voedsel- en Warenautoriteit, the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA), to enhance its workforce planning capabilities. Quintiq will produce rosters for NVWA inspectors to comply with stringent government regulations, while taking into consideration employee preferences. With Quintiq, NVWA will streamline its planning over multiple regions and competences, monitor and improve on service level agreements (SLA), and maximize utilization of current human resources.
The Quintiq solution is able to generate rosters that factor in all unique business rules such as specific planning processes and statuses, and take into account planned work and sudden disruptions. The solution will provide decision support to planners, enabling them to apply their soft knowledge to find the best matches between tasks and employees.
Quintiq and its implementation partner Capgemini proved in the selection process that they could execute all of NVWA’s stringent requirements. The optimized plans performed well within the authority’s operating environment, integrating existing systems and living up to the promise of a 100%-fit solution.
Quintiq CEO Rob van Egmond said, “As a government organization, NVWA’s core values are transparency, reliability, independence and leadership. Quintiq shares those values and our solutions are a great reflection of that.”
About NVWA The NVWA is an independent agency in the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality and a delivery agency for the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. More information about NVWA can be found on their website: nvwa.nl.
