Isight

  • Isight is an industry-leading solution that provides engineers with a suite of visual and flexible tools to create simulation process flows. It comprises various applications, including commercial CAD/CAE software, internally developed programs, and Excel spreadsheets—to automate the exploration of design alternatives and identification of optimal performance parameters.
  • Isight enables users to automate simulation process flows and use advanced techniques such as Design of Experiments, Optimization, Approximations, and Design for Six Sigma to thoroughly explore the design space. Advanced, interactive postprocessing tools allow engineers to explore the design space from multiple points of view.
  • Isight comes equipped with a standard library of components, which form the building blocks of Isight process flows. A component is a container with its own interface for integrating and running a particular simulation application directly within Isight.
  • The Isight component architecture also supports the integration of customer-proprietary applications. This open integration technology is generic to work with a wide range of internally developed scripts, applications, and databases.

SIMULIA Execution Engine

  • The SIMULIA Execution Engine extends the power of simulation to the enterprise. It enables users to distribute and parallelize the execution of simulations and Isight simulation process flows across available compute resources and share Isight simulation process flows and results.
  • Users can use the Execution Engine as part of a SIMULIA Simulation Lifecycle Management deployment, or they can access it directly from Isight or a customizable web user interface.
  • By using the Execution Engine, users, administrators, and IT organizations can control the execution of models and the processes that run them. It enables them to make optimum use of hardware and computing resources. The software swiftly integrates with existing enterprise web application servers and databases.
  • Using the Execution Engine, engineering groups are able to execute complex, multidisciplinary design processes in the most cost-effective manner to quickly deliver more competitive and profitable products to the market.

SIMULIA offers add-on components, an extension to the standard Isight library of components, which provide interfaces to Abaqus Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software, major third-party simulation applications, and a range of design exploration and optimization algorithms.
