Vtech CMCC provides the Kalker CONTACT add-on to SIMULIA Simpack. This improves the computation of wheel/rail contacts, replacing Fastsim by Kalker’s full theories, providing more detailed stresses for the analysis of wheel and rail wear and rolling contact fatigue.

The Kalker CONTACT add-on is also implemented in the form of a User routine. This provides for using the full theory in demanding vehicle dynamics situations, including the effects of 3^rd body layers, conforming geometries, or flange climb derailments.
