Course Objective

This course is an introduction to finite element modeling in the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. It teaches you how to prepare finite element models for simulation.
The course covers the following topics:
- Meshing
- Materials
- Section Properties
- Connections
- Rigid Bodies
The course is divided into lectures and workshops. The course's workshops are integral to the training. They are designed to reinforce concepts presented during the lectures and demonstrations. They are intended to provide users with the experience of running and trouble-shooting actual simulations.
Who should attend
Simulation analysts and engineers who will prepare finite element models in the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform will benefit from attending this class. For the R2020x release, this course is intended for the following roles:
- Mechanical Analyst
- Structural Engineer
- Multiphysics Simulation Researcher
- Structural Mechanics Engineer
- Structural Professional Engineer
- Finite Element Modeling & Assembly Specialist
