Providing understand basic geometry preparation requirements for PowerFLOW simulation

Course Objective

This two-day introductory class is intended for new users of PowerDELTA. The class is tailored to the specific modeling needs of the students, using active projects whenever possible.

Upon completion of the course you will be able to:

  • Understand basic geometry preparation requirements for PowerFLOW simulation.
  • Create geometry for basic aerodynamics analysis simulation.
  • Analyze, identify, and correct mesh issues to produce high quality PowerFLOW meshes.
  • Efficiently prepare watertight geometry using the available editing tools.

The course is divided into lectures, demonstrations and workshops.

The course's workshops are integral to the training. They are designed to reinforce concepts presented during the lectures and demonstrations. This course is intended to complement the Introduction to PowerFLOW course, which describes how to perform CFD analyses with PowerFLOW.

Who should attend

This course is recommended for new PowerDELTA users. Some familiarity with interactive preprocessors is helpful but not required.
