Materials such as rubber and resilient foam are commonly modeled as nonlinear elastic. These materials are used in a variety of applications such as tires, gaskets, bushings, seat cushions, etc. The primary mechanical behavior of these materials is usually defined with a model of elasticity suitable for large strains.
This course provides a brief overview of finite deformations and the material models used for large-strain elasticity (hyperelasticity). The main topics of the seminar and workshops are:
This course is recommended for engineers with experience using Abaqus who need to model the large-strain elasticity of rubber and foam.
The registration cost for this course is $580. We offer sizable discounts for group registrations from the same site†. The table below lists the discount pricing schedule. Registrations after June 12, 2012 will incur an additional processing fee of $50 per person. SIMULIA Central reserves the right to decline registrations received after the deadline.
