At the height of the covid-19 pandemic, the Dassault Systèmes Design Studio faced a challenge: to design a mask that was safe yet sustainable and inclusive. And to do it all while working remotely.
Using the 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud platform, the Design Studio engaged in a highly virtualized, collaborative design process with partners eliumstudio (industrial design), Mundao (biodegradable / compostable fabrics) and the Design Spot at Université Paris-Saclay. Together, they leveraged cloud technologies to work at speed, for a sustainable and rapid approach to design

Sustainability is really important to us; it’s not something we’ve forced… We are ensuring we’re in the circular economy in that our furniture is designed to last and could eventually be melted down again to create new products.
