RadaHaim
IF WE standardize human organoids at scale, can we replace animal testing and transform drug discovery?

Challenge
The startup addresses two primary challenges in drug development:
- Ineffectiveness and Ethics of Animal Testing: Approximately 500 million animals are killed annually for drug tests, yet 92% of drugs that pass animal trials still fail in human trials. This has led the US FDA to begin phasing out animal testing over the next decade.
- Inconsistency of Current Organoids: While organoids (tiny, human-like organs) are a potential alternative, they are currently cultured by hand, leading to inconsistent sizes and shapes. This lack of repeatability means they only provide qualitative data, making them unsuitable for formal regulatory submissions
Disruptive Innovation
RadaHaim’s disruptive approach involves the standardization and mass production of organoids through automation. Their core innovations include:
- Precision Manufacturing: Using four key technologies to ensure every organoid has the same size and shape.
- Dynamic Culturing Systems: These systems allow organoids to grow bigger, more stable, and at a lower cost compared to traditional manual methods.
- Scalable Automation: Moving organoid technology from a lab-based dome culture to a large-scale, automated production environment that is ready for FDA regulatory approval.

Impact
RadaHaim aims to transform biotechnology by providing reliable, scalable tools for precision medicine and faster drug discovery.
In terms of societal benefits, it enables more accurate toxicity screening, personalized healthcare solutions, and significantly reduces reliance on animal testing.
The project directly supports:
- SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being): by accelerating drug discovery and improving the accuracy of medical research.
- SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure): through the development of advanced automated manufacturing solutions for the biotech sector.
Leveraging the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
The company plans to leverage the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to advance their technical roadmap toward automation and mass production.
Software Integration: The team already has a history of using Dassault Systèmes software, specifically SolidWorks, during their academic careers.
Operational Alignment: They intend to use the platform's powerful software suite to align their development direction with industrial-grade manufacturing and collaborative workflows
Collaborative & Collective Intelligence
RadaHaim views collaboration as the "key to advancing biotechnology". They plan to use collaborative intelligence by:
- Global Networking: Partnering with research institutions and innovators across Europe, Asia, and the Americas to bridge the gap between research and real-world applications.
- Ecosystem Synergy: Actively seeking collaboration with other companies (such as those at the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab pitch) to explore joint opportunities and accelerate discoveries.
- Actionable Outcomes: Using a global network to drive scalability and deliver impactful biotech solutions through collective expertise.

RadaHaim
RadaHaim is developing a breakthrough technology that uses standardized human organoids to improve drug testing and research. By replacing unreliable animal experiments, it helps reduce failure rates, improve safety, and accelerate development timelines. Overall, it enables more ethical, reliable, and scalable solutions for personalized healthcare.
