Parametric design is the creation of a digital model based on a series of computer-generated rules or algorithms, known as parameters. Parametric mine design eliminates the majority of the manual work required by CAD-based design and allows the mine planner to create a multitude of potential paths or designs and a nearly infinite number of refinements to reflect changing data. All without losing previous design work.
