Simerics develops, markets, and supports Simerics-MP and PumpLinx. Simerics is focused on providing tools that allow manufacturers to reduce expensive hardware testing, simulate fluid flow and heat transfer and provide unique insight into their products. Simerics-MP (http://www.simerics.com/simerics-mp/) is a three dimensional general purposes CFD software which can be applied to a wide range of industrial problems, such as steady/unsteady, laminar/turbulence, incompressible/compressible, heat/mass transfer, cavitation, multiphase,.. 

PumpLinx (http://www.simerics.com/pumplinx) is specialized software built on Simerics-MP to target vertical markets, such as compressors, pumps, valves, turbomachinery devices and fluid systems. It helps engineers to optimize the product design and to find the root cause of hardware failure. The typical applications are the predictions of power, pump head, flow rate, device efficiency, pressure ripples, cavitation, priming time and cavitation damage.

The integration with Abaqus will provide a tremendous opportunity to solve problems with Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI) for both our products. Applications with FSI exist virtually in all industries. The majority of the applications are very difficult to solve due to stiffness. By the tight integration of the advanced solid solver Abaqus and fluid solvers from Simerics, the FSI problems can be simulated effectively and accurately.
