User Assistance Developer
As a user assistance developer for ENOVIA apps, you play a major role in the planning and development of the product documentation.
You will own the overall product documentation for your subject areas and ensure that the quality, technical accuracy, and customer focus is maintained in your deliverables. You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside software developers, QA engineers, user interaction designers, product managers, and support engineers located across Dassault Systèmes (DS) offices in Europe, the Americas, and India.
Role description & responsibilities
· Become the documentation expert for the software subject areas to which you are assigned.
o Gather technical information by doing hands-on testing of software, reviewing specifications, and meeting with subject matter experts and other team members.
o Document the software using concept, task, and reference-based formats.
· Maintain schedules and share documentation status with stakeholders.
· Install product builds and test functionality against the documentation for improving the usability and technical quality of docs.
· Review UI labels and content in apps and provide feedback to the product define team.
· Ensure cross-team coordination by working with development, QA, product definition, product management, and support staff as needed.
· Implement edits in the documentation as necessary.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate possesses these qualifications:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
· Can understand technical concepts and customer requirements, and translate that information into quality documentation.
· Knowledgeable about documentation processes and tools.
· Strong project management skills, with experience managing and executing projects.
· Always meets deadlines.
· Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with teams.
· Educational background in Computer Science/Engineering, Mass Communication, Journalism
· Software Technical Writing degree or certification.
· A minimum of 1-5 years writing experience in software documentation.
· Experience with content management systems.
· Experience with authoring in XML DITA, preferably using oXygen is a plus.
· Familiarity with CAD and PLM is a plus.
