Roles & Responsibilities

  • Optimize machine learning models, particularly LLMs, transformers, and neural networks.
  • Fine-tune pre-trained models for domain-specific tasks (e.g., text generation, summarization, semantic search, recommendation systems).
  • Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to integrate AI models into scalable applications.
  • Conduct experimentation, benchmarking, and evaluation of models to ensure high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain awareness of the latest research in natural language processing (NLP), generative AI, and deep learning.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code for production-level systems.
  • Contribute to the design of data pipelines and model training infrastructure.
     

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on machine learning or AI.
  • Proficiency in Python (For example, PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Falcon, Mistral) and transformer-based architectures.
  • Solid knowledge of neural networks, optimization methods, and NLP techniques.
  • Experience deploying models to production environments (e.g., REST APIs, cloud services).
  • Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) approaches.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
  • Proficient in Japanese and English to communicate with clients as well as internally
