We are seeking a Skilled Software Developer in Johnston, RI, with proven experience in Java server-side development and experience in developing applications using C++. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Computer Science, including an understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles, with expertise in J2EE, EJBs, Hibernate, JPA, ActiveMQ, and JMS, combined with hands-on experience in relational databases. This role requires the ability to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade applications while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

Join a team developing a best-in-class application for Cloud application and Server-side development relating to Orchestration and Compute of tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a global development team, participate in requirements analysis, software design, implementation of software solutions and services for data management and visualization.

•    Design, develop, and maintain Java server-side applications using J2EE technologies, including EJBs, Hibernate, JPA, ActiveMQ, and JMS.
•    Implement enterprise messaging and persistence frameworks for scalable solutions.
•    Work with relational databases, including MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL, and MySQL, for database design, optimization, and integration.
•    Experience in developing applications using C++ / advanced C++
•    Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to meet project objectives.

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field with a strong background in computer science principles.
•    5-7 years of hands-on experience in software development.
•    Strong expertise in Java/J2EE server-side development, including EJBs, Hibernate, JPA, ActiveMQ, JMS.
•    Proficiency in C++ / advanced C++ (STL, OOP, templates, multithreading, performance tuning).
•    Experience with relational databases: MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL, MySQL.
•    Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to have:

•    Knowledge of microservices architecture and REST APIs.
•    Experience with cloud platforms.
•    Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile practices.
•    Exposure to network programming or real-time systems.
•    Front-end technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, AJAX, HTML5, CSS, JSP.

Compensation & Benefits

Dassault Systèmes offers an excellent salary with potential for bonus, commensurate with experience. Benefits include a choice of plans providing comprehensive coverage for medical, dental, vision care for employee & dependents as well as employee life, short & long term disability, tuition reimbursement, immediate 401K enrollment, 401K match (50 cents on the dollar, up to the first 8% of your eligible compensation that you contribute based on match eligibility criteria), flexible time off policy, and 10 paid holidays.

Salary pay Transprency

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $127000 and $165000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
