The SOLIDWORKS Partner Program was developed to allow third-party solution providers to develop products complimentary to DS SolidWorks offerings. These include integrated software, compatible hardware, and content solutions.

The Software Alliance Ecosystem Manager is primarily responsible for the daily operations and administration within Program as well as working as a technical and Program liaison to formalize and strengthen key alliances.

They will work with the R&D, Sales, and Product Management teams to identify partners/solutions that will allow DS SolidWorks to extend the reach of our customer’s success.  The position requires someone with solid communication skills, effective time management practices, and the ability to work independently. This role reports to the Director of SOLIDWORKS Alliances & Partnerships.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Membership Management

  • Leverages web-based tools to facilitate program applicant reviews; works with Team to publish members to the online catalog

  • Liaison with emerging and strategic hardware technology partners

  • Ecosystem-related annual user event planning and project management responsibilities, including enablement and technical content review

  • Fosters online community growth

Program Operations

  • Maintains a library of program resources and criteria guides and documentation of departmental procedures (SOP)

  • Creates and delivers relevant program-wide technical announcements

  • Monitors program Helpdesk and performs as triage as necessary

  • Works with MIS team on the readiness of program-related systems (CRM, Call Center, eCommerce)

  • Standard and ad hoc reporting of program metrics

  • Financial transaction administration

Technical Assessments

  • Works alongside R&D/Product Management as a technical liaison to key solution partners to formalize alliances

  • Engineering software domain and market research, including key player landscape reviews

  • Performs design review and certification of heavily integrated solutions

  • Examines applicants and competitors through a technological and marketplace lens; conducts assessments and assigns recommendations

  • Handles content requests and provides associated enablement

  • Leverages website publishing tools to post partner web content

  • Share knowledge within and outside the team on produced development and technical components

  • Comply with related processes and meet key activity and performance indicators

 

Your key success factors....

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, with 1-3 years of experience as an Application Engineer within the MCAD industry

  • Strong background in understanding the MCAD business, marketplace, and user needs

    • Experience with alliance partner management a plus

  • Working knowledge of industry software domains such as design, simulation, manufacturing, and data management

  • Strong communication skills -- interpersonal, oral and written; position includes public/group speaking responsibility

  • Impeccable attention to detail; strong organizational and time management skills; proven ability to multi-task; superior problem-solving; unwavering commitment to delivering results and getting the job done

  • Unquestionably a team player with a Make-it-Happen attitude and ability to gain others’ confidence and cooperation, within and outside of SolidWorks

  • Proficiency in Office, web tools, and data entry and extraction concepts

  • English proficiency is required

 

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $80,000-$120,000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
