Simulation Process and Data Management Consultant

What will your role be? (Description)

 The role is for a specialist who primarily focuses on providing consulting services related to SPDM (Simulation Process and Data Management) to customers, driving value from our broad range of software applications on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.  SPDM is commonly known as the technology that provides automation and management tools for ever-increasing complex simulation processes and the associated massive data production.

 You will work closely with customers to identify their needs, develop functional requirements, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet those requirements within a defined budget and timeframe.  As a result, you will become a trusted technical advisor to those customers.

 You will contribute significantly as an individual or as a team member since you may collaborate with other members of the SIMULIA Services Hub and other 3DS entities.  Learning and applying new product features, technologies, and industry workflows on a continuous basis is an absolute necessity for this role.

         Perform consulting services for obtaining solutions

         Develop methodologies

         Recommending best practices

         Conduct training and mentoring

         Assess the technical performance of our products

         Validate product enhancement requests and error reports from customers

         Contribute to opportunities for growing business

         Communicate effectively with others who have different levels of technical understanding

         Travel as needed


Your key success factors (Qualifications)

 Your success depends on your education and experience, and motivation for (i) a strong desire to have a career in Process Automation, Process Management, and Data Management in the simulation industry, (ii) passion for learning and applying new technologies and products, and (iii) aspiration for helping and mentoring others to achieve their goals.


         Minimum qualifications

o   BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related

o   6 years of experience defining, designing, and implementing process and data automation and management in collaborative enterprise environments with PLM software such as ENOVIA, MatrixOne, SimManager, TeamCenter, or ModelCenter

o   Effective use of C++, Python, Java, or VBScript programming language, especially for object-oriented coding in both UNIX and Windows operating systems

o   Ability to work effectively and efficiently with exceptional problem-solving skills, as an individual or a team member, under deadline and customer requirements

o   Excellent presentation and communication skills, and comfortable with discussing technical concepts with people of varying levels of knowledge and experience

o   Organized, diligent, self-motivated, pro-active, reliable, responsible, and willing to adapt quickly to different working environments, along with a positive attitude, and enthusiasm for meeting customer expectations


         Advantage qualification with experience or knowledge of the following

o   MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering)

o   PIDO (Process Integration and Design Optimization)

o   MDO (Multidisciplinary Design Optimization)

o   Automation and optimizations software such as Isight, Heeds, or ModeFrontier

o   Physics-based simulation software such as Abaqus, PowerFlow, Ansys, Fluent, Nastran, or LS-Dyna

o   CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, or NX

o   Web and application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere), database services (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, NuoDB), and web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)

o   Data modeling in relational databases, and data communication (JDBC, ODBC, JMS)

o   Exceptional time management skills
