 What will your role be?

As the Senior Role Portfolio Manager, Earth Engineering you will work with customers, partners and various Dassault Systèmes stakeholders to define and manage the GEOVIA software portfolio within our Earth Engineering domain – specifically Strategic Mine Planning (SMP) across Mine Optimization, Pit Optimization, and Schedule Optimization. While also covering Mine Design needs across both Surface and Underground design methods.

Your strong and practical industry experience in the field of Software Product Management will be one of the key assets you will bring to Dassault Systèmes. While it would be advantageous to have knowledge of the Mining Industry and exposure to the mine engineering domain. As this would bring valuable insight and direction to both meeting the needs of our clients now, and disrupting & transforming the industries we serve.


Your challenges ahead

  • Engage with clients to understand their challenges, find out what they really need and who they are
  • Collect client use cases, business process workflows and perform gap analyses against GEOVIA’s role portfolio
  • Own the product management lifecycle and roadmap for the GEOVIA roles portfolio in the domain of Earth Engineering
  • Define the role and application requirements to allow a user to achieve their day-to-day tasks
  • Define packaging and pricing for each role in the context of a Dassault Systèmes Industry Process Experience
  • Identify and test new portfolio initiatives that will disrupt the industry
  • Assess and validate role readiness for new product launches
  • Build business cases for new investment opportunities accretive to the portfolio – partnerships, acquisitions
  • Provide input to brand strategy on market segmentation, industry trends, revenue plans and competitive landscape
  • Build and deliver sales kit material for the portfolio at each release
  • Build content and deliver training to enable the global centres of excellence teams at each release
  • Represent GEOVIA Portfolio Management at internal and external events and workshops including speaking responsibilities
  • Participate in client projects to provide your portfolio domain expertise, recommending Dassault Systèmes best practices to support customer business objectives
  • Establish lasting collaborative relationships across the Dassault Systèmes organisation to leverage expertise from other brands and business functions in your portfolio


Your key success factors

  • Demonstrated record of experience in Software Product Management, technical background preferred
  • Knowledge on cross-industry trends and business processes relating to the Mining Industry
  • Ability to think big picture as well as execute on the detail
  • Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional teams, collaborating and delivering under time pressure
  • Highly effective communication skills – documentation, presentation, negotiation, relationships
  • Creative thinker with an ability to embrace change, challenge the status quo and become a change champion
  • Experience in lean, agile software methodologies is desirable but not a requirement
  • Mining Engineering qualifications are desirable but not a requirement
