In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the BIOVIA portfolios (and in particular the projects related to the BIOVIA Materials Management service) by participating in tests design, planning, execution, quality KPIs and dashboards of software delivery, including end-to-end continuous testing, working closely with a product team consisting of product managers, test engineers, and developers.

This quality validation includes functional, integration and scientific coverage in order to guarantee reliability, accuracy, performance and completeness of our solutions for companies and academic users. As BIOVIA cloud solutions rely on the integration of multiple services on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, you will also contribute to the validation of processes and workflows in domains for industries such as Life Sciences, Energy & Materials, or Consumer Packaged Goods & Retail.

The challenge ahead

  • Work with the Materials R&D product teams located in Europe, United States and Asia to evaluate complex user requirements, develop, test, and deploy software.
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain discrete process and end-to-end workflow tests including functional, integration, and regression test suites for material workflows based on business requirements.
  • Support Quality Assurance convergence activities for BIOVIA releases, in a Continuous Delivery environment:
    • Functional and performance testing relying on automated procedures as much as possible
    • Scientific testing of business processes and use case integration testing
  • Participate in quality decisions, providing information on validation and risks, known issues and enhancements requests.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills working with global teams on complex software with varied configurations and integrations.
  • Represent a strong vision for quality for the product teams, driving practices that continuously improve product quality and customer value.

Your key success factors:

  • Experience with software development (agile processes & tools, …), testing methodologies (functional, performance & scalability, security, …) and data processing & analysis (consolidation, statistics, …) is preferred.
  • Experience with scripting (e.g. Python or Groovy) or programming (e.g. web development using JavaScript and related frameworks & tools) in addition to Linux and Windows usage is preferred.
  • Experience with project or team management, with strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Working experience with scientific and informatics software is desirable.
  • Bachelor's (or Master's) Degree is desirable with major in Materials Science, Chemistry or Biology and minors including Computer Science, or with major in Computer Science with strong interests in mentioned scientific fields.
  • Knowledge of informatics systems validation in a regulated industry (e.g. FDA, EMA) is a bonus.
