Our Team:
Medidata is looking for individuals who will help us tackle some of the most complex questions facing the industry today using our proprietary platform and advanced analytics. At Medidata, we never work alone. This role will partner heavily with all of the key stakeholder functions including product, delivery, data science, engineering, partnerships, and biostatistics. Successful Medidata AI candidates will be skilled in analytical/quantitative thinking, structured communication, and excited about building the next horizon of Medidata’s mission to power smarter treatments and healthier people.
Who We’re Looking For:
Drive analytics project execution by ensuring progress, organizing project data, and coordinating team meetings, activities and timelines
Partner with broader Medidata organization to conduct issue analysis and develop hypotheses on the key client issues
Advise project teams on data mining and statistical analysis to conduct leveraging domain expertise in commercial analytics
Structure and develop deliverables including "telling the story" with supporting analysis in a clear and effective manner for clients and internal stakeholders
Develop and own project plans and timelines end-to-end, and lead cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of high quality data and analytics output
Track and communicate progress and decisions clearly, triage issues to the appropriate internal stakeholder and ensure timely effective issue resolution
Ensures high quality, rigorous and readily interpretable deliverables from commercial analytics projects
Effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects
Coach and mentor junior team members
Requirements (Education & Experience):
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
4+ years of work experience in one of the following types of highly structured or scientific environments: management/healthcare consulting, life sciences, data and analytics role
Proficient in biopharmaceutical commercial datasets (especially claims) and associated analytics methodologies and tools to address questions from biopharmaceutical companies (e.g., APLD patient finding & patient journey, marketing mix, response modeling, next best action, dynamic targeting, sales force deployment)
Experience leading teams delivering analytics solutions, insights, or projects for pharmaceutical companies' commercial units, either as part of an in-house team, or as an external consultant
A technical bent and the ability to quickly digest and evaluate complex analyses with a keen eye for detail, as well as an orientation towards client service
Some experience or familiarity in common analytics tools: SQL, Tableau, Python, R, etc
As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $135,000-$180,000
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $132,750-$177,000
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $141,750-$189,000
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $118,500-$158,000
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $120,750-$161,000
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
