- Produce financial statements for consolidation, FP&A, tax and statutory purposes complying with local and Group Financial Standards.
- Ensure implementation of best accounting processes, practices and optimized organization.
- Generally, operates within a 3DS Shared Service Center.
Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including General Ledger (GL), corporate reporting, statutory audit, and taxation. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory regulations, and effective tax management. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Support GL general accounting activities including but not limited to journal preparation, account reconciliations for Asia BUs in GBS Asia.
- Process accounting data and tax computation for monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings and financial reporting to local country and HQ.
- Manage tax compliance tasks, which not limited to update tax calendar, preparation, review/ validate and submission of Corporate Income Tax and Indirect tax filings (VAT/ GST) & WHT, tax reporting and the related Tax reconciliation, for Asia legal entities in scope to ensure accurate and timely submission as required by tax regulations and tax authorities; engage with Geo finance, Geo Tax team and Tax consultant.
- Ensure appropriateness of accounting records and control journal entries compliance with 3DS corporate policies & guidelines, internal controls, IFRS and statutory accounting principles.
- Support the audit processes within the department, including preparation and review for statutory, internal, and other audit / review purposes; liaise with internal and external auditors
- Manage and accomplish continuous improvement, regional and corporate projects or ad-hoc tasks as assigned within agreed timeline; working independently or in a team as required.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years working experience in general accounting role in MNC or Shared Service environment with regional exposure
- Strong statutory accounting knowledge, with degree or professional accounting certification (i.e. ACCA or CPA). Experience in managing end to end statutory audit including annual financial statement, and tax submission
- Working knowledge of APAC Local GAAP accounting and taxation requirements across APAC jurisdictions; experience of using ERP systems is critical and experience with ERP implementations is highly advantageous
- Strong process control mindset, highly self-motivated with strong analytical skills as well as a good foundation in accounting and taxation skill, with attention to detail and accuracy and good communication skill
- Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin, ability to speak in other Asian languages (Japanese, Korean) is ideal but not mandatory

- Financial Reporting: Knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
- General Ledger Accounting: Proficiency in general ledger (GL) entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Month-End and Year-End Close Processes: Experience in managing closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and adjustments to meet reporting deadlines.
- Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
- Taxation and Compliance: Familiarity with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
2. Systems Proficiency
- Data Management and Reporting Tools: Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to support reporting and data validation.
- Automation & Process Improvement Tools: Knowledge of tools like RPA (Robotic Process Automation) for streamlining processes (optional)
3. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Data Analysis: Strong ability to interpret data and solve issues that impact reporting accuracy and financial decision-making.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in reporting and recognizes even small discrepancies.
4. Communication and Collaboration
- Stakeholder Engagement: Works effectively with cross-functional teams and communicates complex accounting matters in an understandable way.
- Documentation and Reporting: Proficient in writing clear, concise reports and documenting processes for compliance and audits.
5. Organizational and Time Management Skills
- Prioritization: Manages multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines, especially during monthly and yearly close periods.
- Project Management: Ability to handle and coordinate projects, such as system upgrades or process improvements, within the RTR function.

- Process Optimization: Identifies areas for process improvement to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and control within the RTR process.
