Role Description & Responsibilities 
Your specific responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Support GL general accounting activities including but not limited to journal preparation, account reconciliations for Asia BUs in SSC Asia. 
    Process accounting data for monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings and financial reporting to local country and HQ.
  • Ensure appropriateness of accounting records and control journal entries compliance with internal controls, company policies, IFRS and statutory accounting principles.
  • Support the audit processes within the department, including preparation and review for statutory, internal, and other audit / review purposes; liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Ensure the accuracy on tax compliance submission of legal entities on timely manner; engage with Tax accountant, local finance, Geo Tax team and Tax consultant.
  • Manage and accomplish continuous improvement projects or ad-hoc tasks as assigned within agreed timeline; working independently or in a team as required. 

Qualifications

  • Suitably tertiary qualified in accounting, with degree or professional accounting certification
  • At least 5-7 years working experience in the accounting, finance or related field
  • Working knowledge and experience of using ERP systems is critical and experience with ERP implementations is highly advantageous
  • Highly self-motivated with strong analytical skills as well as a good foundation in accounting, with attention to detail and accuracy and good communication skill
  • Fluency in English essential and Chinese, and knowledge of other languages (Japanese, Korean) is a plus.
