RTR Accountant

Malaysia, SL, Petaling Jaya

Role Description & Responsibilities 

  • Your specific responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Support GL general accounting activities including but not limited to journal preparation, account reconciliations for Asia BUs in SSC Asia
  • Process accounting data for monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings and financial reporting to local country and HQ
  • Ensure appropriateness of accounting records and control journal entries compliance with internal controls, company policies, IFRS and statutory accounting principles
  • Support the audit processes within the department, including preparation and review for statutory, internal, and other audit / review purposes; liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Ensure the accuracy on tax compliance submission of legal entities on timely manner; engage with Tax accountant, local finance, Geo Tax team and Tax consultant
  • Manage and accomplish continuous improvement projects or ad-hoc tasks as assigned within agreed timeline; working independently or in a team as required


  • Suitably tertiary qualified in accounting, with degree or professional accounting certification
  • At least 5-7 years working experience in the accounting, finance or related field
  • Prior experience in statutory audits or manage statutory auditors
  • Experience of working in a shared service centre is a plus
  • Fluent in English and Chinese as this role would require to liaise with china counterparts 
  • Working knowledge in using Oracle system is a plus
