The GL Specialist is responsible for multiple General Accounting activities for Dassault Systèmes (DS) Legal Entities. Those activities include notably (but not limited to) Bank Reconciliation (Including Auto and Manual), VAT process and entries, closing entries & Fixed Assets management (including depreciation calculation and preparation of Asset registered, GL entries, AP to GL reconciliation, AP Manual reconciliations, AP Closing Task, Manual Payment Processing, Account reconciliations; Closing Tasks Monitoring and Open Item Key Matching.
The purpose is to contribute to the Quality and Efficiency of DS Smart Close (Fast) process and to emphasize the internal control framework & operations.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
· Treasury Entries (TR) process
o Identify TR entries book by GL team.
o Book the entries into Finance ERP tool (PeopleSoft) and validate.
o Review all anomalies entries with the local SSC team and update status on TR entries to respective stakeholders
· Bank Reconciliations
o Generate Reconciliation Journals in the Finance ERP (PeopleSoft) and push TR entries into KYRIBA
o Compare Balances between PSFT and KYRIBA
o Launch Auto reconciliations and Manual recs and update outstanding items to stakeholders
· Fixed Assets Management
o Creation of Fixed Asset through eProcurement/vouchers
o Calculation of Depreciation, accounting entries and NBV reports
o Confirming all assets are created in the ERP (PeopleSoft)
o Calculate the close depreciation and preparation of Asset registered for
· Value Added Tax (VAT) declaration and entries Process
o Retrieve data from the Business Object (RTR_079 and OTC_040), verify data exhaustiveness and perform consistency checks.
o Once VAT reports are submitted to local TAX authority. Confirm about the amount of entry, which needs to be book in DS accounts book
· Account Reconciliations
o Check and perform the BS account reconciliations from DSX.Finance and update the reconciliations based on requirement.
o Once updated all balances for IFRS and LOC book check required supporting documents available or not and updated the backup based on reconciliations
· Manual Payment Request (HSBC/KYRIBA/Global Cash)
o A standard manual payment must be anticipated at least 72 hours before the value date. Any payment, which has marked urgent, must be process on time.
Qualification-:
o 2 to 5 years’ experience in Accounting, General Ledger and Fixed Assets administration preferred.
o Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business, Finance or Accounting (equivalent work experience considered)
o Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
o Strong Accounting Knowledge
o Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
o Strong analytical skills; keen learner; good team player with positive attitude.
o Structured, disciplined and flexible approach towards work
o Ability to work in cross-functional teams with solution finding approach
o Able to work in cross functional and culturally different environments
o Able to maintain high quality in all deliverables and according to the operating principles.
