Purchasing Operations (ASIA) Intern

Role Description & Responsibilities 

• Your specific responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
• For this internship, you will be required to learn the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process defined per country and play a role as a gate keeper to manage the purchase order creation for APAC countries (Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong).
• You will be tasked with guiding requestors through the process of requesting Purchase Orders (PO) & be directly involved in training requestors in raising PO/PR.
• Assist in vendor creation & modification process.
• Prepare reports for KPI reviews on purchasing ops & be involved in improving defined KPIs.

Qualifications 

• Currently pursuing Tertiary qualifications, such as degree in Business, Finance, or any relevant fields of study.
• Good knowledge on the use of Microsoft office applications (especially Excel).
• Must have basic Japanese language ability (around JLPT N4/N5). Possessing ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Equipped with effective oral and written English communication skills.
• Possess an open mind to learn in-house tools used to manage day-today operations.
