Your Mission:
The primary responsibility of the Training Specialist is to deliver end-user
technical training (in the format of web based and classroom style training) for
the clinical research industry that adheres to company quality standards while
staying current with the adult learning theory.
Additionally, the Medidata Patient Cloud Training Specialist will participate in
the enhancement or development of new trainings which include a variety of
formats such as eLearning, videos, formal documentation and instructor led
training.
- Deliver and manage technical training in a variety of formats including
Instructor Led/Classroom Style, Webinar and Remote training for internal and
external clients
- Apply Medidata products to the clinical research process for training
purposes
- Follow standard Medidata guidelines and procedures under the guidance of a
Senior Training Specialist or above
- Build stable internal relationships within Medidata
- Keep abreast of continually new and/or enhanced Medidata products and
training for training development and delivery
- Manage time to prepare new classes in addition to delivering current training
assignments
- Effectively learn and deliver "Train the Trainer" sessions on new or enhanced
products for internal and external clients
- Promote student interest and participation throughout multiple days of
technical trainings and webinar style training while ensuring understanding on
all topics
- Conduct logistical planning for assigned training activities
- Manage and participate in multiple projects simultaneously Special projects
as assigned
- Build productive internal/external working relationships
- Be innovative and creative in developing training techniques to be used by
the team
- Ability to teach 30% of courses (Rave or CTMS courses)
- Analyze and resolve problems and exercise judgment within Medidata
guidelines to determine appropriate actions
Your Competencies:
- Some knowledge of Medidata products other than Rave or CTMS
- Experience leading/supporting training efforts in the clinical research process
- Experience defining a technical training environment for a classroom setting
- Ability to understand and differentiate audiences to be trained
- Self-motivated, innovative and able to assume responsibility and work
autonomously in a professional manner
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid analytical and technical skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with employees throughout an organization,
including programmers, marketing personnel and management marketing
personnel and management
- Strong Microsoft Office and G Suite skills
- Ability to travel up to 50%, occasional weekends and international travel as
necessary
- Develop clinical trial understanding
- Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations requires
review of various factors
- Exercise judgement within defined parameters to determine appropriate
action
- Build productive internal/external working relationships
Your Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; or equivalent years of experience
- A minimum of 2 years training and/or development experience is preferred
- Medidata Rave and CTMS training, build experience or end user experience
preferred
As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including
function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro
Area is $79,500-101,371
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California
Bay Area is $84,000-112,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro
Area is $78,000- 104,000
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is
$70,125-93,500
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations
within the United States is $71,250-103,585.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
