What will your role be?
Supporting the North America Marketing team, this internship is focused on creating and distributing social media content and email materials directly to our field sales team and wider employee base. Social selling competencies and deep interest the social selling space will be critical to your success in this role.
Working under supervision of the North America Program Marketing Director.
Your Challenges ahead
Supporting the North America Program Marketing Director in defining and executing on the marketing plan and will require an ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization. The ability to work independently is an imperative.
The Social Media Marketing Intern will be a key member of the North America Marketing Team. As a valued junior member, you will work closely with an experienced marketing team that designs, executes, measures, optimizes and adjusts marketing strategies across multiple online channels such as paid search, display, email and social media. You will contribute by first learning and then by supporting and publishing directly within a number of our social media channels. Along the way, you will learn many new tools and concepts related to digital marketing, social media marketing and social selling.
This role will be a key connector for the North America Marketing and Sales team, helping to enable the sales team to effectively utilize customized marketing materials.
This role will challenge, motivate and inspire the right candidate to develop and build very strong B2B social media marketing skills.
Your key success factors
Actively enrolled in a Bachelor Degree, Master’s Degree, or MBA program for the duration of the internship.
Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher
Requirements for the role
Professional experience with social media channels – LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc.
Professional experience with social media publishing
Very strong short and long form writing skills
An active interest in public relations would be a strong value add for this role
Familiarity with paid media buying and placement (Google AdWords, LinkedIn Sponsored, Facebook Sponsored etc.)
Familiarity with email marketing
Familiarity with social selling and sales enablement
Experience with long form content distribution (blog posts, white papers, webinars)
Project management knowledge and the ability to set and meet deadlines, understand goals and demonstrate flexibility in a changing work environment
Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to work independently and/or within a collaborative team structure
Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
Possesses strong communication skills in English
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including written and video.
