INTERNSHIP - Product Definition (SOLIDWORKS)

Role Description and Responsibilities

SOLIDWORKS products are always developed in a cross functional team consisting of members of our development organization, our quality assurance team and at least one member of Product Definition. 1/5th of a Product Definition engineer's time is spent on customer research (field customer visits, queries through extensive databases of customer feedback, early visibility testing with customers, etc.). Through this research Product Definition engineers are the advocates for our users in the development process. The remaining 4/5ths of the time are spent working with development and QA to plan each release and managing the enhancement projects from initial specification, to implementation, to internal/customer testing all the way up to final release to customers.

Interns assist with all functions of SOLIDWORKS Product Definition from customer research, project planning, project/product definition, project testing, early evaluation customer testing, customer engagement, etc...

This is a paid internship spanning from May 2024 – February 2025 in the Dassault Systèmes Corp. offices located at 175 Wyman Street Waltham, MA 0245. You will be expected to follow a hybrid work model.

·         A rising Senior actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program or a Graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical, Plastics or Electrical Engineering

·         Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 /4.0 scale

·         Well-developed skills in MS Office--Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

·         Experience with 3D modeling, SOLIDWORKS preferred, and 3D printing

·         Possesses polished interpersonal skills, strong self-motivation and maturity

·         Highly organized and precise

·         Strong attention to detail
