Team introduction and overview
As a Financial Research Intern, you will research large North American business on the internet and selected financial tools provided by DS. You will assemble this research in research templates provided to you and prepare and present out briefs of that data to the consulting team. Thoughtful analysis, identify risk points and effective time management are highly desirable.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide FP&A finance and strategic responsibilities to the Strategic Consulting team of North America Industry Process Consulting organization.
- Research, identify and understand business challenges and direction. Use analytical thinking to base conclusions of intent and purpose.
- Dive deeply into financial data and become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights.
- Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively support and frame decisions to be made by the consulting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and post graduate studies in a business or financial related field. General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles
- Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels
- Working experience in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication
Personal Skills
- We need a “plug and play”, strong FP&A, budgeting, forecasting as well as understanding strategic issues and direction based on financial, business, and annual reports.
- Need strong critical thinking skills—someone who will stop, anticipate, and think about what comes next. Someone who likes to “solve the puzzle.”
- Open on industry, need strong finance skillset. MBA/CMA/CPA pursuit highly desired
