INTERNSHIP - CFD/AI Engineer

In the Fluids group, we have a world-class group of researchers who develop fluids solver capabilities. SIMULIA software simulation products impact how Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is used in many industrial settings worldwide.
We are looking for a CFD engineer with ML/AI skills who can work on an intelligent meshing project for our Navier-Stokes and Lattice-Boltzmann technology.
As a CFD/AI engineer, you will be part of a key team in building and executing numerical DoEs and supporting the development of AI/ML technologies and their integration into commercial CFD software. As part of this internship, you will gain experience automating and executing simulations and working with AI/ML tools and software in a production environment. We will provide you with the steps, tools, and leadership that will help advance your career at Dassault Systemes and help our customers reach their goals.
In this role you will:
· Perform industrially-relevant CFD simulations
· Generate large datasets of high-quality CFD data
· Build, develop, and train ML algorithms for intelligent meshing
· Interact with multiple teams and across disciplines to report results and enhance model capabilities
Qualifications
· Enrolled in a PhD program in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or a related field
· Experience performing CFD simulations
· Experience with Navier-Stokes algorithms including RANS turbulence models
· Experience with finite volume meshing
· Experience with ML algorithms including geometric deep learning, transformers, and neural operators
· Proficient in Python
· Familiarity with UNIX/Linux and shell scripting a plus
· Fluency in English, both written and verbal is essential
· Ability to work independently
This is a paid six-month internship/co-op to begin in spring 2026. The position is based at the Dassault Systemes Office at 175 Wyman Street, Waltham, MA.

Inclusion statement
Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $22 and $40 per hour.
