Our Team:
The Medidata Global Education Instructional Designer designs, develops, and maintains eLearning and instructor-led learning courses that teach our clients and partners how to use Medidata products.
This position is a highly consultative and collaborative role that consults with key stakeholders to identify educational needs, make solution recommendations, and oversee program execution. The qualified candidate who fills this position must be detail oriented, organized and concise. By working both independently and as part of a team, this person must be able to meet tight deadlines while consistently delivering high quality work.
Work with subject matter experts to identify training needs
Define and manage education roadmaps
Design and develop eLearning courses, instructor-led training programs, certifications, and other instructional materials
Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhance retention and transfer
Ensure deliverables are completed on time, with high quality and adhere to company standards
Perform the following for new and existing courses:
Needs-analysis
Timeline/resource estimations
Course design, production, quality control and implementation
Review and update course content during each product release cycle.
Work with eLearning vendors on course finalization
Maintain a working knowledge of Medidata product(s) to facilitate course development
Who we're looking for:
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
Lesson and curriculum planning
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficient with eLearning development tools (Articulate Storyline 360 is preferred)
Familiarity with SCORM and LMS or LCMS
Experience with designing Instructor-Led Training (ILT) courses
Strong project management and time management skills
Able to collaborate and work autonomously in a professional manner
Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately
Understanding of how training development fits within the software development lifecycle
Possible travel between NJ and NYC offices (less than 5%).
Experience with localization and certification is a plus
SaaS experience is a plus.
Requirements (Education & Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree required
Master’s Degree is a plus (Instructional Design, eLearning Technology, Learning Theory, etc).
3 or more years of corporate training and curricula/courseware development experience.
Life Sciences industry experience preferred
