Infrastructure as Code Engineer – Cloud Provider Tooling
We are looking for a driven and experienced engineer with strong skills in IaC providers (e.g., for Pulumi, Terraform, or Upjet), Golang/Python/TypeScript, Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), CICD Automation. The primary mission of this engineer is to design, maintain and extend integrations that allow users to manage 3DS Outscale cloud services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This includes the development of IaC provider, schema generation, and user-facing resource modeling for tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, or Upjet. The goal is to offer a consistent, reliable, and user-friendly experience for developers and operators automating their infrastructure.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
· IaC Tooling Development:
o With the solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code, write the code for translation of IaC declarative models into API operations
o Contribute or build IaC providers (e.g., for Pulumi, Terraform, or Upjet).
o Code generation from API schemas (OpenAPI preferred) via various techniques
o Write code in Go, Python, or TypeScript for tooling and provider logic
o Contribute to multi-language SDK generation and tooling pipelines
· Cloud API Integration:
o Contribute to design and development of RESTful API and integration of best practices
o Work with internal or public APIs to expose consistent abstractions for end users
o Work on API authentication mechanisms, pagination, error handling, and long-running operations
· CI/CD & Automation:
o Set up test and release automation for provider-based projects
o Work on GitHub, or equivalent CI/CD pipelines
o Manage versioned releases and change management for tooling
Qualifications
o 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or development roles involving IaC tools.
o Hands-on experience building or extending IaC providers or plugins.
o Familiarity with cloud platforms (Outscale, AWS, Azure, GCP) and how their APIs are exposed through automation tooling.
Good to Have:
o Experience working with , Crossplane Kubernetes CRDs provider orchestration , or frameworks.
o Security awareness in infrastructure provisioning (e.g., least privilege, secrets management).
o Exposure to tooling ecosystems like OpenTofu, Helm, or config-driven cloud provisioning.
