SIMULIA is looking for a highly skilled and motivated candidate to join their Industry Process Success (IPS) organization. The candidate will support customer deployment as well as develop new methodologies to maintain and expand existing workflows using SIMULIA’s structural crash solutions. What will your job be?
- You will be responsible for performing sub-assembly as well as full vehicle level crash simulations
- You will validate the latest features in SIMULIA’s structural crash analysis software, developing new technical solutions of interest to the automotive industry, solving challenging problems, and supporting vehicle development projects.
- Use of all of SIMULIA’s software and other Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools to develop and support workflows that leverage SIMULIA’s multi-physics, multi-scale simulation technologies.
- Work with the leading global automotive companies and help them solve challenging problems related to Body Engineering and work on Body Model Build projects.
- Communicate with customers, providing expert technical support for automotive crash applications. You will also collaborate with members of the group, technical account teams, and the product development teams within the company.
The Challenges ahead
Candidates with hands on experience in vehicle designs with CAE and global safety requirements/regulations like FMVSS/ECE/EURONCAP/USNCAP are especially encouraged to apply.

Your key success factors
- PhD or Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
- Expert knowledge of automotive crash analysis with 3-7 years of experience.
- Able to perform advanced CAE simulations to evaluate and enhance full vehicle crashworthiness performance in conjunction with occupant safety.
- Excellent hands-on software experience in PRIMER, ANSA, HYPERWORKS and LS-DYNA preferred.
- Hands-on experience on seat belt anchoring, dummy positioning and airbag modeling is required.
- In-depth knowledge on Finite Element Analysis, Applied Solid Mechanics, Material Modeling and Numerical Methods is added advantage.
- Develop and apply advanced safety/crash methodologies and analysis techniques.
- Develop and support subsystem & full vehicle level crash tests in line with standard protocols and best practices.
- Conduct optimization studies by utilizing optimization CAE tools on vehicle designs to meet performance requirements with the constraints
- Excellent problem solving skills and a desire for continuous learning.
- Strong English verbal/written communication skills and good presentation skills.
