Your Mission:

Implementation Consultants (IC) configure Medidata's software applications to meet client requirements, ensure implementations follow Medidata standard business processes and ensure adherence to Good Clinical Data Management Practices. ICs also act as thought partners to our clients, guiding how to implement Medidata's software best to provide the most value.

The Implementation Consultant will work with Product Managers, Delivery teams, and other functional departments during the implementation of Medidata's software applications for clinical studies. The IC will be the primary resource for authoring specification documents used by different groups and configuring applications during clinical studies' development using Medidata's suite of products. This role is remote-friendly.

Your Commitments/Duties:

Product/Advisory: 

  • Reporting into Medidata Link Product, you will collaborate with Engineering and Delivery teams to translate customer needs regarding system and application functionality, ensuring a match between needs and actual system capabilities

  • Author specifications based on client requirements, including functional test cases, for use in configuring solutions in Medidata's suite of products and in custom integrations with other products

  • Define new features for development based on customer and product needs

  • Work with third-party vendors to ensure that all back-end clinical data changes follow best clinical data management practices

Engagement: 

  • Work directly with clients and our teams to advise on best practices for implementing Medidata's software and enforce Medidata SOPs and procedures

  • Mentor Professional Services Implementation Consultants to prepare, adapt, or agree on all specifications provided by the client

  • Ensure that Clinical Services deliverables are aligned and meet Project Management timelines

  • Participate in internal projects, e.g., process improvement, product improvement, and identifying best practices

Your Competencies: 

  • Collaborate with Product Manager, R&D and Delivery staff to translate software features into technical requirements

  • Excel in problem-solving and managing multiple priorities in an Agile development environment

  • Ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and guide our decisions

Your Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (in a quantitative or business discipline, e.g., business administration, management information systems, computer science, engineering, statistics, or related field) and 2 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience

  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and JIRA

  • Familiarity with technical and analytics concepts such as databases, APIs, and JSON are a bonus

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $79,500-85,314.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $84,000-112,000.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $78,000-104,000.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $70,125-93,500.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $71,250-97,729.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
