HR Director

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end HR generalist agenda for Korea, including workforce management, organizational planning, and day-to-day people operations
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor to Korea leadership and employees, building strong, credible relationships across all levels of the organization
- Ensure full compliance with Korean labor law and statutory requirements, keeping the business ahead of regulatory changes and managing associated risk
- Partner with legal, compliance, and global/regional HR teams to interpret and apply policy consistently, escalating and resolving complex employee relations matters
- Operate effectively within a global matrix organization, balancing global HR frameworks with local market needs and priorities
- Act as a change agent and problem-solver, navigating ambiguous or unprecedented situations with sound judgment and pragmatism
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, L&D, and Total Rewards teams to ensure an integrated HR experience for the Korea workforce
- Provide HR guidance and coaching to local managers, strengthening leadership capability and employee engagement
- Represent the voice of Korea within the broader APAC HR community, contributing local insight to regional and global initiatives
Qualifications:
- Significant experience as an HR Generalist, including workforce management, employee relations, and HR operations
- Strong working knowledge of Korean labor law, statutory compliance, and local regulatory practice
- Proven ability to work effectively within a matrix organization, balancing global direction with local execution
- Experience working in a multinational company (MNC) with international exposure and cross-border collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust quickly with employees, managers, and senior leadership
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across cultures and functions
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and navigating the unknown, with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong sense of confidentiality, integrity, and sound judgment in handling sensitive matters
Fluent in Korean and English, written and spoken
