About the Team:
This senior independent contributor role owns the design, structure, deployment and efficient scale of Medidata's Global Education framework with a mandate to enable a transformative, continuous learning experience for Medidata customers, patients, partners, employees, and academic affiliates. The resulting framework empowers our growing network of clinical trial operations professionals across standard catalog, customized, integrated, and best-in-class learning enablement and knowledge management services + directly enables achievement of Medidata Global Education's Customer Learning Experience objectives & business goals.
Responsibilities:
Own Medidata's Customer Learning Management experience.
Collaborate with Medidata teams and external vendors to design and deliver a modern, competitive Customer Learning Management experience that can also support internal learners.
Own Medidata's Customer Community Learning platform.
Own Medidata's Customer Certification enablement experience.
Own Medidata Global Education's integrations with customer learning enablement services and technologies.
Collaborate with Medidata teams and external vendors to enable fully-compliant integrated services for all Global Education offerings. These include Medidata, global, and industry-compliant services and technologies.
Establish and maintain Global Education framework - strategy, policies, governance, processes - to efficiently support and enable Global Education development, deployment, and delivery.
This thought leadership role is a member of the Global Education Leadership Team, directly interacts with internal and external stakeholders across the organization to achieve and align Global Education results with Medidata objectives; surface and increase the value of Medidata global education experiences, and continuously improve learning enablement experiences for our customers, patients, partners, employees, and academic affiliates.
This Director brings best-in-class global education framework design, structure, deployment and scale expertise, along with a partnering spirit and an exemplary work ethic, capable of proactive, agile planning and project management, including timely and quality correct outcomes.
Fulfill assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals.
Coordinate and support agile development practices and the standard cadence of review of work to measure/ensure quality, output, and impact of targeted objectives.
Proactively monitor operational processes, and identify/assess issues using associated data to quickly develop and execute solutions.
Exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action and avoid erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results that can diminish the quality of deliverables or cause delays in targeted delivery.
Establish strong partnerships and productive interactions with managers, staff, subordinate supervisors, functional peer groups, company SMEs, and other stakeholders.
Gain the cooperation of others.
Develop and conduct workstreams, working teams, and work groups to enable the successful delivery of targeted outcomes.
Develop and execute well formed, real-time status reporting and presentations, including technical information, regarding scope of work, specific projects, or schedules.
Acts as trusted advisor to manager and Medidata unit/sub-units; contribute, as required, to meet targets, innovate, and resolve problems.
Qualifications:
15 years minimum demonstrated success designing, building, scaling, and expanding impactful global customer learning enablement programs powered by digital and/or community learning.
15 years minimum experience in a customer learning framework design and development role - covering implementation analysis and framework configuration, optimization, integration - to enable targeted customer learning experiences
Expert in seeking stakeholder input and developing strategy and/or outcomes that reflect that input
Industry-excellent expertise in global learning enablement design, project management, and thought leadership
Demonstrated experience with learning enablement, agile project management, integration, enablement change management, process implementation and knowledge management practices methodologies
Industry certification in KM, Six Sigma, or PMP
Experience with JIRA, Gainsight, Gainsight Digital Hub, Zoomin
Solid, actionable experience with customer learning journey management, ADDIE learning development principles, blended learning theory and/or industry-excellent knowledge management models and learning services best practices
As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.
- The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $114,000-153,000.
- The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $121,000-162,000.
- The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $113,000-151,000.
- The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $101,000-135,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $102,000-137,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
