Geometry Reconstruction C++ Software Engineer
The Technologies R&D department provides DASSAULT SYSTEMES solutions (CATIA,
SOLIDWORKS, SIMULIA, DELMIA ...) with AI-driven mathematical and geometric
engines that form the foundation of generative workflows across 3D design, physics
simulation, and realistic visualization. Furthermore, the department spearheads Industry
World Model development across worldwide R&D, delivering specialized AI models for 3D
recognition, generation, and reconstruction alongside agentic workflows powered by
Virtual Companions.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
Within this department, you will join the team responsible for Continuous / Exact Shape
representation & editing, and work towards enhancing 3D Geometry and Specification
Reconstruction portfolio, leveraging AI.
You will work as a Software Engineer at Technologies R&D Department
The Role of a Software Engineer will involve following:
Design, deliver, and continuously improve Geometrical Tools to enable industrial &
world-class Generative Experiences & Virtual Companions skills
Learn from production usage and user feedback to continuously improve
robustness, performance, security and cost eiciency.
You will understand the requirements, build specifications, create relevant and
comprehensive unit tests, design solution(s) and select appropriate one, converge
on the unit tests, meet customer/applicative acceptance criterion, within estimated
cost estimates.
You will ensure high quality of deliveries by creating appropriate automated tests.
You will identify and manage dependencies that are necessary for success of your
delivery targets.
You will resolve quality, performance, robustness issues on components under your
responsibility.
You will use AI enabled enterprise framework for R&D and contribute to its
evolution.
You will work eectively in a global, multi-cultural, multi-site R&D environment.
You will keep abreast of the latest technological developments, document and
share knowledge, best practices.
Qualifications:
Masters or PhD in either of Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics,
Mathematics & Computing, Scientific Computing, CAD/CAM/CAE.
Strong knowledge in one or more of Computational Geometry, Dierential
Geometry, Numerical analysis, Optimization
Experience in using CAD/CAM/CAE software like CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, SIMULIA,...
Strong Programming skills preferably in C++, Python.
Overall, 2-6 years of Professional Experience in relevant Domain, covering use of
OOPs, Data Structures, Algorithms, Design Patterns to deliver software solutions for
problems related to CAD/CAM/CAE.
Strong analytical & problem-solving mind.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work as a team,
collaborate with other local/remote teams
Knowledge in one or more of Deep Learning, Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic
architectures will be a bonu
