Your Mission:
Reporting to the VP of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, this senior Director role is responsible for helping to shape and lead the implementation of our global DEIB strategy, programs, and initiatives, driving execution against all prioritized work as we weave DEIB into all aspects of our business and people priorities.
Drive Diversity & Inclusion generalist functions and programming across External Partnerships, Education & Awareness, Business Resource Groups and consult with the business on effective customized business unit strategies for equity and inclusion
Develop, drive and deliver global Diversity programs; develop tracking strategies to monitor and evaluate impact and ROI of programs; develop dashboards and reports on program effectiveness and make recommendations for program enhancement and improvement
Compile, analyze, and suggest next steps based on internal Inclusion and Diversity Survey feedback and DEI data - Compile and analyze internal Inclusion and Diversity Survey feedback and DEI data
Provide strategic direction and partnership with key stakeholders throughout the company (HR Business Partners, Learning & Development, Recruiting, CSR, etc...)
Identify and build relationships with external partners, including thought leaders and peer organizations, that deliver impact and support our CSR and diversity and inclusion strategies for underrepresented groups
Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with external partners and international organizations (Healthtech industry, non-profit, and university orgs) that align with our strategic enterprise inclusion and diversity goals
Manage internal and external communications in regards to our Diversity and Inclusion initiatives (internal wiki/ external website, social media):
Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to develop multi-media strategy and ensure execution of strategy to highlight achievements and strengthen employer brand in collaboration with the Employer Branding team
Partner with the Communications team to ensure internal / external awareness of our culture and inclusion initiatives, events and progress.
Design and deliver toolkits and resources to empower the business to own diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging efforts
Manages and drives for results through the extended team while moving at a quick pace
Your Competencies:
Visionary & Strategic Thinker able to envision and co-create the DEIB journey with the VP of DEI
Demonstrated coaching and group facilitation / presentations
Trusted Advisor visible and available to others, with the ability to build relationships and maintain trust and respect at all levels
Experience influencing, developing, and empowering employees across all levels, multiple locations and cross functional teams
Experience in instructional design/learning & development (L&D) and talent management related system/programs
Highly flexible, ability to multi-task and execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization
Full Time: Hybrid, 2-3 days in office, as as needed depending on projects
Travel Required
Your Education and Experience:
10+ years of senior-level experience in a diversity-specific or HR generalist role creating, leading, and implementing diversity, inclusion and belonging programs and initiatives. Global experience a bonus
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $150,000 to $190,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
