Defence Strategy Lead – EURONORTH

We are hiring a Defence Strategy Lead! We are looking for an individual with a deep understanding of UK Defence that will develop and lead business development activities contributing to our near and longer term strategy. This pivotal role requires Executive level engagement, including activity with Armed Forces, Government, large Defence prime organisations and the supply chain.  
This role will be leading our strategic growth initiative for Defence whilst building commercial experience. We are looking for a pro-active individual that can maximise Defence opportunities through Business Development working in collaboration with the A&D team.

Role & Responsibilities

•    Build upon the UK&I defence strategy for a wider geography across Northern Europe
•    Drive business development across government functions, multiple domains and industries from a defence perspective, including public tenders.  
•    Support account teams with near term and long term leads / opportunities through business development activities, including leadership of major capital investment programs such as GCAP.
•    Develop and nurture Customer Executive relationships and global ecosystem to support their sustainable transformation; be one with the client, spending time on client sites and understanding their culture, challenges and strategy to become a trusted advisor.
•    Propose our whole offering, following our Value Engagement methodology to engage at strategic level, working closely with our Industry Consulting team to ensure customer needs and aligned to our offerings through the delivery of large scale opportunities


•    UK Defence experience in the domains of Air, Maritime or Land
•    Previous experience of leading business development in defence for lead generation is preferred
•    Proven experience of high level stakeholder management and operating in a strategic environment
•    Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills; with the ability to manage complex & multi-dimensional sales initiatives
•    Industry knowledge as well as an interest in new avenues of growth, sustainability and public policies
•    Positive, self-motivated individual with high level of interest and passion, a willingness to learn
