Our Team:

Medidata is looking for individuals who will help us solve some of the most complex questions facing the industry today using our proprietary platform and advanced analytics. The data and AI driven insights from our solutions help our customers bring drugs to patients faster by optimizing trial design, planning, and monitoring of trials in real-time against changing industry conditions. At Medidata, we never work alone. You will partner with all key stakeholder functions including product, delivery, data science, engineering, partnerships, and biostatistics. You will be accomplished in analytical/quantitative thinking, and excited about building the next horizon of Medidata's mission to power smarter treatments and healthier people.

Your Mission:

  • The Customer Enablement Specialist is an important part of our Medidata AI Labs team, leading delivery and informing the development of our operational analytics suite of solutions.

  • As part of a broader engagement team of data scientists, engagement managers, product managers, designers, testers, and business experts, you will be a strategic partner to clients, guiding them on the best ways to use and scale Medidata AI’s Intelligent Trials suite of products to improve their clinical development practices. Additionally, you will contribute to our product strategy, lead the development of new analyses to support clients’ study planning and provide strategic input in positioning intelligent trials to prospective clients.

  • Reporting to the Senior Director, Medidata AI Labs, you will work from our New York City or Boston office, or remote.

Your Commitments:

  • Enable clients to use our Intelligent Trials applications, to apply data-driven insights to their study planning and feasibility.

  • Lead ad hoc projects with teams to increase value realized from adoption of Medidata AI solutions including protocol design optimization, country/site identification, enrollment strategy and modeling.

  • Identify the analytics needed to answer client questions and create impact aligned with our mission

  • Contribute to implemention of effective processes, methodologies, data and technologies that will improve ongoing delivery of Medidata AI’s Intelligent Trials solutions

  • In partnership with internal stakeholders- combine, interpret and integrate data to provide clear feasibility product features recommendations to strengthen data-driven decision-making, analyze trends, identify root causes, and provide relevant recommendations across programs to accelerate study execution.

  • Track and communicate progress and decisions, triage issues to the appropriate team member and ensure effective issue resolution

  • Participate in and support interactions with clients to collect requirements and guide product adoption 

  • Provide strategic input to client proposals

  • Shape overall value proposition of Intelligent Trials offering

Must-have qualifications and expertise: 

  • BS/BA degree; preferably in a scientific discipline or allied health field (e.g. information science, epidemiology, life sciences). Advanced degree is beneficial.

  • 6 - 7+ years of relevant work experience in one of the following types of structured or scientific environments: management/healthcare consulting, life sciences, clinical operations, data and analytics role

  • Experience with country and site selection, trial feasibility, enrollment forecasting and reforecasting

  • Demonstrated experience using industry competitive intelligence tools and ability to quickly assimilate and integrate the use of new technologies

  • Outstanding structured, critical thinking and a understanding of analytical techniques to interpret and present data to team members and clients.

  • Superb project management and a desire to get things done.

The following will be helpful, but are not essential:

  • An MBA or advanced degree 

  • An entrepreneurial drive and a passion to advance the development of new treatments

  • Experience leading a team formally or informally 

  • Enjoy iterating on different ways to solve a problem

  • A strong analytical background and the ability to quickly digest and evaluate complex analyses with a keen eye for detail

  • Experience working in Life sciences or across the healthcare value chain

  • Can guide a team forward even amidst ambiguity and complexity
