INTERNSHIP - Fluids Validation (Simulation)

Role Descriptions & Responsibilities   

In the past few years, we have rapidly added releases and features to the Fluids solver on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. As a Fluids Validation Intern, you will work with the SIMULIA Fluids R&D team in Johnston to write software to enable automation of the creation of fluids simulations using JavaScript. You will use these scripts to validate numerous aerodynamics, thermal and multi-phase workflows, summarizing the impact of physics modeling, meshing and algorithm parameters on the overall result. As part of this internship, you will gain experience working with software in a production environment with a combination of industry standard tools and legacy systems.

·         Developing JavaScript modules to enable UI automation for fluid simulation workflows

·         Working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and assignments

·         Identifying suitable verification & validation cases for aerodynamics, heat transfer, multiphase supporting Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial Equipment and High-Tech industries

·         Setting up V&V cases; executing sensitivity studies (physics models, meshing approaches, algorithm parameters); reporting outcomes to product management and development team leads

·         Automating case set up where applicable
