Global Affairs Intern
Join the Business Planning & Global Affairs Team as a 12-month Global Affairs Intern and take your first steps into the world of game-changers. During your internship, you will actively support the implementation of the EURONORTH public affairs strategy, with a focus on ecosystem building and public sector business development.
The base location will be London – Hammersmith.
Responsibilities
- You will monitor the political scene and regulations linked to innovation and sustainability in order to detect changes that could potentially impact Dassault Systemes in EURONORTH (UK, Ireland, BENELUX, Nordic countries). Report on these changes and implications.
- You will identify sources of public funding (eg. R&D support) and support Dassault Systemes’ teams in looking after the social value and corporate documentation parts of public tenders.
- You will support business development efforts and actively contribute to transforming them into significant deals, including through the attendance of meetings, conferences and events.
- You will work closely with our public affairs’ leader to coordinate thought leadership activities such as position paper drafting, public consultation responses on public policies, webinars, etc.
- You will build stakeholder and ecosystem maps for key industrial sectors supported by public funding/public policy (e.g. energy, infrastructure, rail)
- You will lead relationships with our public affairs partners - as well as create internal network to support the whole EURONORTH business
- You will gather intelligence on political trends, key influencers for Dassault Systemes’ strategic industries such as “new energy” (batteries, hydrogen, nuclear, etc.) or “digital twins”
Qualifications
- You are currently studying for or have a degree in Political Science, International Relations, UK Politics and Policy, or a related field
- You have knowledge and interest in public sector challenges and opportunities
- You possess excellent research and analytical skills
- You have strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build networks
- You communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
- You can take direction, work well in a team, and also take initiative to meet deadlines independently
- You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- You are reliable, responsible, proactive and thrive in diverse, international teams
- You are passionate about technology, sustainability and public policy – a plus for this role
