Sustainability Ratings and Awards

Dassault Systèmes’ commitment and performance to sustainability are recognized externally,  as testified by the ratings and rankings below. We are committed to perform better year after year for our global Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) management.

We are proud of our recognition and aim to continually improve our impact.

In 2022, Dassault Systèmes increased its ranking in its MSCI ESG Ratings assessment and reached for the first year the leading position with a ‘’AAA’’ score. The MSCI ESG Rating is designed to measure a company’s resilience to long-term, industry material environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks. MSCI ESG Ratings range from Leader (AAA, AA), Average (A, BBB, BB) to Laggard (B, CCC).

February 1, 2023: S&P Global Ratings assigned Dassault Systèmes an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Evaluation of 84, recognizing the value of the Group’s sustainability strategy and commitment. This score results from a strong ESG Profile score of 75 and a ‘Strong’ Preparedness assessment, contributing to a 9-point uplift. This assessment positions Dassault Systèmes well-above average evaluations delivered globally by S&P.

In 2022, Dassault Systèmes had been recognized with the score "B" - Gold standard - for addressing the environmental impacts of its business and ensuring good environmental data management for its Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). 
CDP is a global non-profit organization that runs the world’s leading environmental disclosure platform. 

As of Dec 12th, 2022, Dassault Systèmes was assessed by the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index at the 99th percentile of the global software sector in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment and ranked as 4th Best Company in the software sector. 

In 2022, we reached the top 1% of all companies rated by EcoVadis industry for each 4 domains assessed: environment, labor & human rights issues, ethics and sustainable procurement. Dassault Systemes’ score represents the 99th percentile rank, with achievement of Platinum medal.

In December 2022, Dassault Systèmes was assessed by Sustainalytics to be at Low risk of experiencing material financial impacts from ESG factors. Founded in 1992, Sustainalytics, a Morningstar company, provides analytical ESG research, ratings, and data to institutional investors. 

In 2022, we were ranked by Vigeo Eiris 6th out of 86th companies in Software sector in terms of ESG performance (+6 places compared to 2021). We received a score of 75/100 in terms of Energy Transition, and an “A” rating for our Carbon Footprint.

FTSE Russell (the trading name of FTSE International Limited and Frank Russell Company) confirms that Dassault Systèmes has been independently assessed according to the FTSE4Good criteria. Dassault Systèmes has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series. 

Dassault Systèmes has been ranked 18th out of 48th in Information Technology sector among the 2022 Carbon Clean 200. For many years we have been consistently recognized as one of the world’s 200 most sustainable companies in terms of “cleaner revenue”.  Our software provides a positive impact by helping our customers go green in their operations and the broader economy.

In 2022, our company continues to be included as one of Corporate Knights, on the 9th place of the Top 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World, and obtained an overall rating range of “A-“. 

In 2022, Dassault Systèmes reached the top 1% of the 303 companies assessed in the software sector and was awarded with Prime Status by the Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) ESG Corporate Rating. We are especially proud to have received an A- score for Data protection and information security
