Sustainability Ratings and Awards

Dassault Sytèmes’ commitment and performance to sustainability is recognized externally. We are a top performer for our global Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) management, as testified by the ratings and rankings below.

We are proud of our recognition and aim to continually improve our impact.

In September 2021, Dassault Systèmes was assessed by Sustainalytics to be at Low risk of experiencing material financial impacts from ESG factors. Our ESG Risk Rating places us in the 5th decile within our industry, and in the 9th decile among rated companies globally assessed by Sustainalytics.

As of Nov 12th, 2021, Dassault Systèmes entered into the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, reaching the 97th percentile of the global software sector in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment.

In 2022, we reached the top 1% of all companies rated by EcoVadis industry for each 4 domains assessed: environment, labor & human rights issues, ethics and sustainable procurement. Dassault Systemes’ score represents the 99th percentile rank, with achievement of Platinum medal.

In 2021, Dassault Systèmes, along with over 13,000 companies, disclosed its climate change related data for Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), and have been awarded A- for Supplier Engagement Rating.
CDP is a global non-profit organization that runs the world’s leading environmental disclosure platform.

We are listed in MSCI ESG Ratings, and confirmed our ‘’AA’’ rating in September 2021. An MSCI ESG Rating is designed to measure a company’s resilience to long-term, industry material environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks. MSCI ESG Ratings range from leader (AAA, AA), average (A, BBB, BB) to laggard (B, CCC).

FTSE Russell (the trading name of FTSE International Limited and Frank Russell Company) confirms that Dassault Systèmes has been independently assessed according to the FTSE4Good criteria, and has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series. 

Dassault Systèmes has been ranked 18th out of 48th in Information Technology sector among the 2022 Carbon Clean 200. For many years we have been consistently recognized as one of the world’s 200 most sustainable companies in terms of “cleaner revenue”.  Our software provides a positive impact by helping our customers go green in their operations and the broader economy.

In 2021, we were ranked by VE 7th out of 83th among Software sector companies in Europe in terms of ESG performance (+4 places compared to 2020). We received a score of 72/100 in terms of Energy Transition, and an “A” rating for our Carbon Footprint.

In 2021, our company continues to be included as one of Corporate Knights, on the 9th place of the Top 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World, and obtained an overall rating range of “A-“.
