The company’s vehicles, which are a cross between a cargo bike and small light utility vehicle, are 4-wheeled electric assist bike with closed bodywork for more safety and comfort. They’re capable of carrying 300kg of payload and running at 45km/h, making them robust, versatile and attractive options for inner city usage.

The vehicle’s low weight (250kg), moderate speed and contained dimensions (l0.9xL3xH1,2) make it possible to markedly reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions, particularly when compare to traditional automotive solutions.

Midipile supports multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals by designing electric, energy-efficient vehicles (SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy; SDG 13 – Climate Action), developing services compatible with carbon neutrality (SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), promoting local economic activity through community-focused projects (SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth; SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities), and producing vehicles locally to strengthen industrialization and territorial resilience.

MIDIPILE has been using Dassault Systèmes applications since its creation in 2020 to imagine and develop their hybrid vehicle. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform gives them access to many tools to accelerate their development. They are now a car manufacturer equipped to offer a new category of vehicles. It is essential for Midipile to meet the many challenges presented in the production process, from design to mechanical engineering to electronic integration.
