Dassault Systèmes Extends Partnership with LMS International to Include Noesis Solutions

Noesis Solutions to extend V5 PLM knowledgeware and optimization solutions with robust design for Six Sigma analysis

Paris, France – March 1, 2004 – Dassault Systèmes (NASDAQ: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) and Noesis Solutions today announced the signing of a Component Application Architecture Version 5 (CAA V5) Software partnership to expand and complement Dassault Systèmes’ V5 Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) offering. Noesis Solutions is an LMS International subsidiary that focuses on Multi-disciplinary Design Optimization (MDO).

Under the terms of the agreement, Noesis Solutions will build a complete set of vertical applications that drive and optimize any V5 captured design or simulation sequence. Stunning graphics reports from Noesis Solutions help users to easily understand and analyze product behavior. The applications, which leverage DS knowledgeware and optimization solutions, will span a wide variety of methods for design space exploration, design optimization, and robust design.

Dassault Systèmes’ V5 PLM Simulation solutions deliver a unique set of knowledge-based tools embedded within an intuitive collaborative environment. They permit companies to capitalize and reuse corporate know-how to drive product innovation. In particular, the CATIA Product Engineering Optimizer 2 (PEO) product enables users to explore design alternatives and optimize designs.

Noesis PLM Optimization CAA V5 Based expands the CATIA PEO module and provides a wealth of optimization methods and techniques that operate on V5 Processes, especially those at the product engineering and simulation stages. It will build upon the native capacity of V5 PLM products and architecture to dynamically capture design specifications and targets. Design and simulation engineers can collaborate within the V5 PLM environment by directly accessing product definition and processes via the ENOVIA Engineering hub. This unique collaboration breakthrough provides a flexible and agile way to achieve effective digital product development with concurrent engineering.
