Etienne Droit has been EVP, PLM Value Channel since 2007. In the context of the reinforced responsibility of Dassault Systèmes for the distribution of its products, Mr. Droit has been responsible for PLM sales through our network of resellers (our ‘‘PLM Value’’ distribution channel).

Shortly after joining DS in 1985 as a development engineer, Mr. Droit created a new solution enabling the realistic rendering of CATIA digital products. In 1988 he began managing the Development Strategy department, where he and his team made key advances in artificial intelligence and CATIA. In particular, he helped develop DS’s Component Application Architecture strategy for integrating third-party applications into CATIA.
 
Mr. Droit was appointed Director of CATIA Application Products in 1991, and successfully developed and launched CATIA Version 4. In 1995, he became Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Services, responsible for large enterprises. He also assumed management of Dassault Systèmes K.K. (Japan), a role he still holds today, whereby he oversees Asia-Pacific market development. He was appointed Executive Vice President of Sales & Distribution in 1997, overseeing the development of DS’s global PLM sales and distribution channel, and leading executive sponsorship of several strategic customer accounts. He is also an active member of the Executive Committee. 

Mr. Droit graduated from the École des Mines de Paris with a specialization in mathematical morphology.
