SmarTeam Delivers Enterprise Product Lifecycle Management to Vanderlande Industries

PLM solution to help leading material handling provider enhance product data management, create links with suppliers and subcontractors

London, March 17, 2003 - SmarTeam Corporation Ltd., a Dassault Systèmes company (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) and leading provider of innovative product lifecycle collaboration solutions, today announced that Vanderlande Industries of the Netherlands has selected SMARTEAM as its enterprise product lifecycle management (PLM) solution.

Vanderlande Industries is a leading provider of advanced material handling and supply chain systems for distribution centers, airport baggage handling operations, sorting centers for express parcel services, and the manufacturing industry. The PLM solution will be implemented by infostrait for use by up to 750 Vanderlande staff, with full functionality intended within two years.

The implementation will begin with integrated product data management across the engineering and customer-interfacing departments, including document and product structure management, and integration with existing applications and databases. This will be followed by interoperability with suppliers, subcontractors, and co-developers, and linking in customer projects at various international locations.
