Robotics Industry Association Honors Delmia Corp. Executive with Prestigious Industry Award

Delmia Corp., a Dassault Systèmes company, today announced that Robert G. Brown, Delmia executive, has received the Joseph F. Engelberger Leadership Award.



Auburn Hills Mich., USA - March 25, 2004 - Delmia Corp., a Dassault Systèmes company (Nasdaq: DASTY: Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), today announced that Robert G. Brown, Delmia executive, has received the Joseph F. Engelberger Leadership Award, for his leadership and innovative contributions to the robotics and manufacturing industries.

The Engelberger Robotics Awards were established in 1977 and named after the founding force behind industrial robotics, Joseph F. Engelberger, and is the world’s most prestigious robotics honor. Mr. Brown accepted the award at the International Symposium on Robotics held in Paris on Wednesday, March 24, 2004

Mr. Brown’s career highlights include serving as vice president and general manager of ASEA Robotics, president of ABB Robotics, and president of Deneb Robotics (now Delmia Corp.), where he lead the company to significant growth over five years. His contributions to the field of robotics include initiating the use of robots in flexible assembly lines in U.S. engine plants, introducing large scale deployment of robotics in automotive wheel manufacturers, significantly increasing the use of robots in automotive general assembly, and leading his company to become the strategic digital manufacturing supplier.

Mr. Brown remains active in the Robotics Industry Association (RIA) and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Intelligent Manufacturing Technologies Initiative. In addition, he is frequently invited to sit on industry panels and government proposal review committees to provide oversight and industry leadership experience.
