Hyundai Steel Builds Successful Web-based PDM System with ENOVIA SmarTeam

Paris, France & Seoul, Korea, July12, 2006 -IBMand Dassault Systèmes (DS) (Nasdaq:DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) announced today that Hyundai Steel, Korean’s leading steel maker, has adopted ENOVIA SmarTeam for efficient design and drawing management, and has put into production a web-based Product Data Management (PDM)system. With their newly implemented PLM solution the company is accelerating time-to-market and increasing competitiveness.

The drawing management system using web-based ENOVIA SmarTeam was successfully launched in the first half of this year and integrated to the existing facility management system. Access to 24-hour online support has significantly reduced the time to obtain drawings. The new solution allows data tobe shared easily over the Internet. Increased data reuse coupled with standardizing business processes in line with their facility management systems, enables Hyundai Steel to make the right decisions ensuring their long-term success.
