Exalead improves search for Yorkshire Forward
Exalead, European leader of search solutions and information access software in the enterprise and on the web, today announced that Yorkshire Forward has selected its CloudView Search solution. The platform will enable more than 400 users to search across 15 million documents and to find and download information quickly. CloudView was chosen as the preferred search solution over a popular competing enterprise search appliance for its ease of implementation and feature-rich capabilities.
Yorkshire Forward is the regional development agency for the Yorkshire & Humber region, tasked with improving the economy to make it a better place to live, work and invest, and to ensure that the region is able to compete on the domestic and global stage. Founded in 1999, its main office is located in Leeds, but it has regional offices in Hull, York, Bradford and Wath upon Dearne.
Yorkshire Forward became disillusioned with its previous supplier's search solution's ability to easily query varied data sources cost-effectively. They also found that the information retrieved was not always consistent. Yorkshire Forward embarked on a proof of concept exercise with Exalead, which outperformed their then current solution on the first day, leading to an immediate order for the full Exalead CloudView solution.
