ENOVIA Achieves As New Leader In GartnerGroup’s PDM Magic Quadrant

Dassault Systemes (NASDAQ: DASTY), the premier global software developer for the CAD/CAM/CAE/PDM II market, announced today that the GartnerGroup, a leading authority on information technology, has placed ENOVIA as a new leader in their PDM Magic Quadrant vendor matrix.

Suresnes (France) and Charlotte (North Carolina, USA), may 30, 2000--ENOVIA is defined in the Quadrant as an Enterprise Leader with Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. The GartnerGroup also shows ENOVIA as a key challenger for the Enterprise Leader position in its currently open Collaborative Product Commerce (CPC) vendor matrix.

The GartnerGroup stated that the Product Data Management (PDM) market experienced robust growth of over 30 percent in 1999 as companies continued to seek solutions for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of product development.

The ENOVIA Portfolio consists of a suite of collaborative software applications that electronically simulate and manage a product throughout its life cycle, and is tightly linked with CATIA. Together they offer a single, integrated environment for the entire product life cycle, combining innovative 3d web technologies with industry best practices in product modelling and product data and development management.

"ENOVIA’s entrance into the GartnerGroup’s PDM magic quadrant confirms our leadership position within the PDM and CPC markets," said Joel R. Lemke, chief executive officer of ENOVIA Corporation. "This ranking by Gartner Group confirms our leadership understanding of the product development process where we have positioned our products for collaborative product development and management."
