Delmia Corp. Establishes Academic Partnership with Texas A and M University - Commerce

Agreement provides state-of-the-art assembly process planning and ergonomic software to students.



Auburn Hills Mich., USA - June, 30, 2004 - Delmia Corp., a Dassault Systèmes company (Nasdaq: DASTY: Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), today announced it has entered into an academic partnership with Texas A&M University -Commerce, to provide simulation software to the university.

Delmia Corp. will provide the university with a two-year, 20-seat license of DELMIA V5 DPM ENVISION Assembly™, a process planning and verification solution. In addition, DELMIA V5 Human™ ergonomic software will be installed in the university’s Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory (HFEL), a new instructional research facility that supports the university’s industrial engineering program.

“The DELMIA ergonomics package focuses on understanding and optimizing the relationship between humans and the products they manufacture, install, operate and maintain,” said Andrew Jackson, professor, Department of Industrial Engineering & Technology, College of Business & Technology at Texas A&M University -Commerce. “We considered it a good fit for the HFEL, which allows students to evaluate human performance factors that are demonstrated and practiced in traditional and non-traditional work activities.”

Texas A&M University -Commerce was founded in 1889 as East Texas Normal College. In 1996, the institution entered the Texas A&M University System. In addition to the Commerce campus, the university has locations in Dallas, Mesquite, and a partnership with Navarro College in Corsicana.

In addition to the Texas A&M University -Commerce academic partnership, Delmia Corp. has signed agreements with Oregon State University, the University of Michigan, Oakland Community College, Lake Superior State University, Mississippi State University, Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), Heart of Georgia Technical College, Purdue University, and Western New England College.
